SCD digital materials for ceramics
SCD series of digital materials for ceramics, developed by Sicer, is designed to expand the decorative possibilities of inkjet digital decoration systems used in the ceramic industry.
These digital materials, approved by leading ceramic printer manufacturers, enable advanced surface effects and new aesthetic solutions for ceramic floor and wall tiles.
Thanks to their specific chemical formulation, SCD digital materials can be used in combination with ceramic digital inks to create surfaces with different levels of gloss, texture depth and optical effects.
Effects achievable with SCD digital materials
SCD ceramic digital materials enable a wide range of surface effects through digital application.
Main achievable effects include:
- high-opacity white
- extra soft white
- high-gloss finish
- gloss finish
- reactive sinking effects
- devitrified matt effect
- mirror luster
- metallic steel effects
The selection of the digital material and its formulation depends on the desired aesthetic result and the firing conditions of the ceramic production cycle.
Compatibility with digital printing technologies
SCD digital materials are designed to ensure high stability in ceramic inkjet digital decoration processes.
The range is approved by leading digital printer manufacturers, ensuring compatibility with the most widely used printing technologies in the ceramic industry.
The integration of ceramic digital inks, digital glues and digital materials enables ceramic manufacturers to develop surfaces with textured effects, gloss variations and new decorative solutions.
Go-Live system for digital ink regeneration
To support the management of digital inks and materials, Sicer has developed Go-Live, a technological solution for the regeneration and filtration of ceramic digital inks.
The system allows recovery and maintenance of ink performance stored in large industrial containers.
Its operation is based on:
- pumping ink from the main container
- filtration through dedicated cartridges
- timed recirculation of the fluid
This process restores the original characteristics of the ink, improving print quality and ensuring greater stability in digital decoration systems.
Management and control of the Go-Live system
The Go-Live system is equipped with an electronic control panel featuring a PLC and touchscreen interface, allowing full control and management of agitators and filtration processes.
The system is designed to handle multiple ink containers and ensure operational continuity in ceramic digital printing processes.
