.LE LOW EMISSION ceramic inks
Sicer’s .LE LOW EMISSION series represents a new generation of low-emission ceramic digital inks, developed to reduce the environmental impact of ceramic production processes.
These eco-solvent-based digital inks for ceramics are designed by Sicer’s Digital R&D Lab to ensure high print performance, operational stability in inkjet machines and a significant reduction in emissions during the firing cycle.
.LE series is part of a complete system that includes:
- ceramic digital inks
- digital materials
- digital glue
LOW EMISSION technology for ceramic digital decoration
.LE series represents the evolution of Sicer’s research into low environmental impact ceramic inks.
Through the study of different solvents and chemical blends, Sicer laboratories have developed a highly refined eco-solvent base capable of significantly reducing emissions without compromising print quality.
The technology is based on solvents with high thermal degradation temperatures, which delay the decomposition of organic substances during the preheating phase of the ceramic kiln.
This process promotes a more complete combustion of organic compounds, converting them mainly into water and carbon dioxide, while reducing the formation of:
- VOCs
- aldehydes
- odor emissions
During firing, the ceramic kiln acts as a natural post-combustion system, contributing to the reduction of emissions in the production process.
Emission reduction in ceramic processes
Compared to conventional eco-solvent inks available on the market, the second generation of .LE LOW EMISSION series delivers certified emission reduction results during the ceramic production cycle.
Industrial tests have shown:
- −70% odor units
- −60% formaldehyde
- −50% aldehydes
- −50% VOCs
- −20% – 25% TOC (Total Organic Carbon)
These results allow ceramic manufacturers to significantly reduce emissions during firing without changing production conditions or print performance.
.LE digital ink range
LOW EMISSION ceramic digital ink range consists of a set of primary colors from which all shades required in ceramic decoration processes can be achieved.
Starting from concentrated .LE bases, each formulation can be customized to meet the customer’s chromatic and production requirements.
The range includes different types of inks, such as:
- glossy inks
- matt inks
- high-opacity white inks
- special inks for digital effects
The series also includes service materials for digital printing management, such as cleaners and standby solutions for printhead maintenance.
Compatibility with digital printing technologies
The entire .LE LOW EMISSION ceramic ink range has been developed to be compatible with the main inkjet digital decoration technologies used in the ceramic industry.
The products are approved by leading digital machine manufacturers, ensuring operational reliability and stability in industrial production cycles.
